OUR MISSION

To provide the benefits of ancient and rare organic ingredients discovered in plants in unique areas of Italy.

SV1945 was established in 1945 by Dante Bardelli in the small town of Brebbia (Varese) near the shores of Lago Maggiore (ITALY).

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Following in the footsteps of our founder, we have traveled all over Italy to find these rare plants, that grow in hard to reach places, to guide our customers on an imaginary journey throughout the unique and most secretive regions of our beautiful country.

The original process used to make the soaps would mix Mediterranean Sea water with olive oil and plant extracts together in a large heated cauldron. This mixture would then be stirred constantly for several days, then poured into a mold and left to set for up to a month.

Today, we still produce our soaps using the same artisanal method.
The final product is a high quality product that not only cleans the skin but guarantees a very gentle and soothing treatment for the skin, which becomes soft and more elastic, even after many uses.
Formulated with quality, purity and integrity, we pride ourselves on using premium organic active ingredients and whole plant oils from sustainable products, without the use of mineral oils, parabens or aggressive ingredients.
Our products are then wrapped and labeled by hand to preserve the artisan quality that distinguishes SV 1945 from all the others.

Experience, patience, and attention to detail are just a few of the requirements in our crafting process. Our company stands out today because of its ability to maintain the values and traditions passed down from generation to generation.

Because we strongly believe in social responsibility, we manufacture skin and environmentally friendly products, including a large selection of vegan-friendly products. Our products and never tested on animals and we support the responsible recycling of all of our packaging.

All of our soaps are triple milled (they are carefully passed through a milling machine three times) to thoroughly mix the soap with any fragrances or extra ingredients, while squeezing out any extra water or air. This creates a longer-lasting hard soap with less waste and a richer lather.

There are many ways to make a soap, but.....
